Are AUGUSTIN products available in supermarkets?
No. AUGUSTIN products are sold through a network of independent multi-brand retailers, marine clothing shops, maritime cooperatives, seaside outlets, etc., or directly on boutique-augustin.com.
Are Augustin socks really sturdier than the low-cost ones found in supermarkets?
Our socks are made exclusively in France and Italy. In these two countries, we find long-fibre cotton yarn, which is therefore more resistant.
In addition, all our socks have special reinforcement at the toes and heels (where wear usually occurs). To put it simply, during knitting, 2 cotton threads and 2 polyamide threads pass through the knitting machine.
How does delivery work?
Deliveries are handled by La Poste, for a flat rate of 4.90 euros. The average estimated delivery time is 2 to 3 business days for France.
Your order is delivered to the address you specified as the delivery address on your order form.
Is payment secure?
Of course! At Augustin, we place great importance on payment security. We have chosen the CIC Payment system to guarantee you completely secure purchases. Thanks to this system, you can be sure that your bank card number:
- never travels unencrypted over the internet, thanks to SSL encryption;
- cannot be used for any purpose other than the current transaction;
- is only entered on the secure CIC Payment site. At Augustin, we never see your bank card number. We only receive a usage number (the payment reference) from our bank.
Is it true that some Augustin belts are still made in Brittany?
Yes. Most of our belts (in particular our elastic belts and certain leather belts) are still produced there.
The slight extra cost is more than offset by the quality, sturdiness and comfort. On our side, transport savings are substantial, and restocking is fast. And of course, we're glad to help support employment in France.

Are the prices online the same as those charged by Augustin retailers?
All products sold online are, excluding shipping costs, at the recommended retail price used by our 400 retailers' shops.
Our online prices include VAT for France and the European Union, and exclude VAT for other countries.
Can I send a gift?
Of course, you can ask us to deliver items to an address different from the billing address. Simply specify this address when confirming your order.
If I don't like the product, what should I do?
You can return it to us by registered parcel. If a product doesn't suit you, you have 7 days to return it to the address below:

This product will be exchanged or refunded (via a credit note, a cheque, or a "recredit" to your bank card). Return and reshipping costs are your responsibility, unless the product does not match your original order.
What if I don't want to order online?
You can of course order by post or by phone. You can order directly on plain paper, specifying the items ordered, adding any shipping costs, and noting your address. Then pay by cheque or bank transfer.
