Flobart Socks
Description
Did you know? The flobart is a traditional fishing boat emblematic of the Opal Coast, particularly of the villages between Cap Gris-Nez and Cap Blanc-Nez: Wissant, Audresselles, Ambleteuse, Tardinghen and Audinghen.
This sturdy little boat, perfectly suited to the conditions of the North Sea, accompanied local fishermen for generations. Originally rigged with sails, the flobart later evolved with the arrival of engines, all while keeping its unique character and its deep bond with the maritime heritage of northern France.
Augustin pays tribute to this authentic boat with this pair of Flobart socks, created for everyone who loves the sea, fishing harbours and maritime traditions. To wear these socks is to carry a little piece of Opal Coast history with you.
Since 1996, Augustin has been designing socks inspired by seascapes and regional craftsmanship. We care just as much about the design as we do about comfort and manufacturing quality.
Made from a knit of 78% cotton, 20% polyamide and 2% elastane (Lycra®), they offer softness, comfort and an excellent fit. The toes and heels are reinforced, the areas under the most strain, to guarantee lasting durability day after day.
