During a stopover on the island of Ouessant in the late 90s, Augustin the sailor discovered the charm of this little animal, an emblem of the island. After sharing a delicious stew cooked over peat, a local speciality prepared by his friend Marie-Jo Dugal, he fell for the Ouessant sheep: a rustic, elegant, island animal, perfectly adapted to the sometimes harsh conditions of life by the sea.
Resistant to sea spray, wind and the wild landscapes of the island, this little sheep has a character all of its own. It likes to be warm… but above all, it hates looking like everyone else!
